Luque Ribelles Violeta
Violeta Luque Ribelles is a young researcher in the department of social psychology at University of Seville (Spain). She received her master degree with the project entitled “Action model for the acquisition of critical consciousness for women in impoverished neighborhoods”. Her research activity is focused on developing community-based interventions from a Psychology of Liberation perspective. Women and migrants living in oppressive conditions are her target group. In addition she has worked at the labour union UGT- A (Unión General de Trabajadores de Andalucía), where she has provided a community activists training for workers. Nowadays she is working at the ´´Hospital Universitario Virgen Macarena´´, a public hospital in Sevilla (Spain), where she is developing an intervention based on coalitions.
There are different the reasons that have motivated Violeta to involve herself in this work with the Community Tool Box:
1) To contribute to the extension and progress of a tool and web page very useful to researchers and professionals involved in the work with the communities.
2) To facilitate the use of the Tool Box to persons who do not speak English.
3) To expand her network.
4) To acquire a new professional experience.
5) To be member of an international network and to learn new methods and strategies of collaborative work through of the use of the new technologies.
6) To improve my English.
7) To know more deeply the Tool box and his strategy of work.
8) To spread the works in which she is involved in her professional practice and to improve it.
Violeta is doing some translation and Cultural Adaptation for the Community Tool Box.
