Community Tool Box: Implementation Supports for Healthy People 2020

The Tool Box is proud to support implementation for Healthy People 2020, which provides national objectives for improving the health of all Americans. Supports from the Community Tool Box are serving as “how-to” information for those working to improve conditions in their states and communities.

This award honors Medical Reserve Corps partner organizations that support MRC units in carrying out their local missions. The Community Tool Box partnered with MRC to provide capacity building support for their public health workforce of more than 200,000 volunteers around the United States. The Society for Community Research and Action, Division 27 of the American Psychological Association, awarded the Community Tool Box the John Kalafat Community Program Award for its "global contribution to our field," and the Don Klein Publication Award to Advance Community Psychology Practice 2013 Award. Award presentations occurred at SCRA’s 2013 Biennial Conference in Miami.
