Question:
What does it mean geographic and social boundaries in which a community exists?
Answer:
Hi Jose, Thank you for your question. A boundary is a real or imaginary line that separates two things. In geography, boundaries separate different regions of the Earth. This could be county lines or city lines, or specific neighborhood boundaries. Social boundaries are still a bit different. Social boundaries are defined by the roles, norms and customs which prescribe certain appropriate types of behavior. Social norms segregate ethnic groups, social classes, and genders as well. We hope we answered your question. Please let us know if you have any others. Thank you.
