Participant in a Healthy Communities group in Marlboro County, SC, currently receiving our training in community mobilization et al. In 1998 we will be developing our community project. Many of us in that group are also involved in ths submission of a Turning Point grant application to the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and Kellogg Foundation. Out of 525 initial inquiries nationally and 125 semi-finalists, we are invited to apply for the grant.

I was recently named director of Downtown/Dickson Enhancement Project, Inc. in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The primary goals of the project include planning improvements in the public areas of the downtown, i.e., sidewalks, lighting, landscaping as well as developing a comprehensive advertising and promotion plan to support the businesses.
