The KU Work Group can build a customized online resource for your organization's work in building healthy communities. Based on years of research and development, it helps communities and organizations better support and document efforts to promote community health and development.
We develop tailored online WorkStations for local, national, and global initiatives. WorkStations provide quick access to tools, shared materials, success stories, online documentation and support, troubleshooting guides, and online guidance. Clients have used customized WorkStations as a comprehensive solution to helping communities address the challenges they face.
The work of being a catalyst for change and improvement, whether as an organization or a funder, requires an array of abilities such as assessing community needs and resources, strategic planning, evaluation, and sustaining state and local efforts. The many different people involved often have complementary abilities, and may do this work across distances and over time. Communications technologies, such as the Internet, permit new forms of support for cross learning and adjustment among generations of diverse and geographically distributed people across the community, nation, or world.
The KU Work Group can develop a customized CTB WorkStation, an integrated and tailored support, documentation, and learning system for your organization or funding agency. This customized Internet-based system will use capabilities of the Community Tool Box (CTB), with over 7,000 pages of how-to information relevant to 16 core competencies for this work (e.g., community assessment, advocacy, evaluation, planning for sustainability).
Each tailored CTB WorkStation will be maintained for those: a) doing the work (e.g., leaders and members of efforts to promote community health and development), b) supporting it (e.g., technical consultants, trainers, and evaluators), and c) funding it (e.g., program officers and leadership of grantmaking agencies).
