Question: Do you know of any organizations that recognize communities for achieving improved health for its citizens? Most that I have found recognize individuals, not the community as a whole. We are trying to implement a "healthy community" award in our state.
Answer: Great question. I don't know of an award program for communities yet, although several are named as "Healthy Community" awards. These still focus on honoring individual contributions rather than group contributions. I'll keep looking and will post another answer if I find one!
