Co-founder of the FLUORIDE AWARENESS TEAM OF KANSAS. Our team's focus is on educating the general public regarding the DANGERS of WATER FLUORIDATION with FLUOSILICIC ACIDS and the distinct differences between the various forms of "fluoride" (for example: calcium fluoride vs. sodium fluoride vs. hydrofluocilicic acid). Use of the acid form in community water fluoridation can be especially harmful to children and susceptible adults. We welcome communication from all venues. Visit our website at: http://fluorideawareness.cjb.net/ Contact <DeannaH@KScable.com> or <Fluoride@USA.com> for additional info.

Hello Renee Boothroyd! I recently was the State Director for Public Health Education in the Health Services Deputy area of the South Carolina Dept. of Health and Environmental Control. I have been intrigued by the Kansas Workgroup's Community Evaluation effrots for awhile and I'm proud to say that we've utilized the research in some areas on the health side of our agency. Recently, in January of this year, I decided to take an opportunity to explore the use of my experience and training in health promotion and education and apply this in the environmental side of our agency. A great deal of education and outreach efforts are bing made across three media (i.e., air, land and water). As I have begun discussions within my area of air quality, I am sharing information about evaluating the work we will be doing and how important it is to track our efforts. As a part of this, I am sharing this website with others in environmental education and outreach within and outside of our state.........
How have you used the Community Tool Box to support your work and make a difference?:
I am beginning to introduce others to this site as a information to consider as we begin to discuss evaluating our efforts.

Am a health educator who is interested in setting specific goals for community safety and educating the public, especially children. Example, sidewalks prevent falls for elderly walking on dirt, which may be uneven, people in street hit by cars. Visibility obstructions at intersections, driveways, contribute to accidents.
