    Hi, I'm the YF coordinator out in Gardner, KS. I am here today - a saturday, to try and catch up with data input. Is there anyway you can make up something that we can attach to our brain and everything that we do with youthfriends can be transmitted from our brain to the computer? I just thought this would be an excellent idea. We could plug in each evening and download out of our brain while we sleep. Anyway just thought I'd share this thought!

We are working collaboratively with a number of community partners and this resource will be very useful.     I am an Extension Educator for Purdue University. I work from a field office located 200 miles from campus . My duties include the informal education of youth and adults in the areas oc community development, leadership, and community service, in additiona to coorindating the county-wide 4-H program.     Program Analyst with the Alzheimer's Disease Program, California Department of Health Services. Our Program supports research projects for Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders, as well service to the public through nine diagostic centers throughout California. We are supported by both the General Fund, and a tax check off fund which allows taxpayers to contribute select amounts of the tax monies to the fund. This special fund is used only to fund research projects.

    Am working with a team of a health educator and PhD Epidemiologist to initiate programs in chronic disease prevention and injury control (eg. violence prevention, unintentional injury prevention, etc...) We are open to any suggestions, etc. We intend to do a community assessment to find out what is available already and where the gaps are and try to get the community agencies work collaboratively to help resolve some of these problems in a prevention mode. Our Web site is close to completion and will include, among other things, the just published directory of our network (with a listing of more than 850 community development projects).     I work for the Department of Health with the Bureau of Special Health Care Needs. I read about this page in our weekly newsletter, the Friday Fax. I am very, very interested in helping my community. 5 years ago I started a nutritional program in Garden City Mo (where I live) for senior citizens. It is only funded by donations. To this day they serve home delivered meals to approximately 50-75 senior citizens in the surrounding area. I want to do more for my rural community and want to find out different resources. What I have heard about CHIME, a program with MO state to help communities, I have liked. I can't wait to find more out. I am currently going to school at Longview Community College and hopefully will recieve a degree in Computer Support Tech. Then I want to get a certificate in programming to help with my job advancement.
