Currently I am entitled as an agile coach, but I still have a tons of things to learn and decades to experience to be really who i am currently.
How have you used the Community Tool Box to support your work and make a difference?
Currently I am creating a unique scrum master survey. The surveys unique because each question only has good answers. those are ranked however so there is good, better, even better, even more better, almost the best and probably best types. This will help the applicant to receive instant 4 other good options to be try out at her scrum teams. The goal is to improve and coach online via a survey tons of people to build better teams. For the SM patterns it is a great help to read the servant leader chapter.
I am pretty sure that I will come back for some other stuff later.
Cheers
G

I am the Director of Development for the Art Council here in Long Beach. I believe that art making can be a vehicle for communication and integration for our residents. I would like to create public art projects that will bring together different neighborhoods in our City.
How have you used the Community Tool Box to support your work and make a difference?
I have just starting browsing Chapter 27 and it is full of ideas that could help me as I write grants to fund my community painting projects. I can see that the Community Tool Box is something that I will refer to often as a guide. I will also check out some of the books and articles in the bibliography for more in depth discussion.

I am currently leading some peace work within our church.
We are considering adopting a Just Peace designation within our denomination--UCC.
We're hoping to become a valued, relevant peace resource and model for peaceful dialogue and engagement. Part of the work we're hoping to do is local peace and justice work--addressing needs within our community that frequently get overlooked for bigger, headline issues.
I ran across your amazing web site when I was surfing around surveying some other community activist sites. Yours appears to be very practical, and accessible. Your tool box might be a big help.
How have you used the Community Tool Box to support your work and make a difference?
So far, we're not using it. I'm just getting acquainted and started.
Thanks!

I am not a community organizer by profession. But I am very interested in forming units within my community to help support folks and help us all to lift one another up. I live in a relatively small city in the United States. So I realize that we are well off compared to others around the globe, but we have a lot of internalized oppression. I'd like to help us get rid of that so that we can take full control of our community.
How have you used the Community Tool Box to support your work and make a difference?
I haven't read anything as yet, but I will read it and share it with others in the community. I expect that it will be useful in my work with my local church.

Q: Why is a needs assessment an important step in community intervention? Discuss some of the different methods that can be used to complete a needs assessment. Choose one of the examples listed under the Examples tab and summarize the information that was assessed from two community assessments. How did the two assessments you read about compare (discuss similarities and differences)?
