Ask an Advisor

Welcome to Ask an Advisor

Ask an Advisor is a free service that provides brief, personalized responses about the community work you are doing. Are you working to serve your community?  And do you have a question about that work? We welcome your questions, and we may be able to help you.

We can answer many types of community-related questions. Some examples include questions about community interventions, planning, assessment, participation, publicity, program development, leadership, advocacy, and evaluation. We can also answer questions about other topics you can find in the Community Tool Box table of contents.

Please do note, however, that the questions we can answer are limited to community work. More specifically, we cannot provide advice about personal life situations. And we are not able to answer questions involving counseling, mental health issues, individual school or degree programs, computer technology, legal issues, or other questions not related to doing community work, broadly defined.

If we can answer your community question, we will e-mail you a response directly, and also post both your question and our answer (though without your name or other identifiers) on our website.

Thank you for contacting the Community Tool Box Ask an Advisor team!
