Please tell us a little bit about yourself:
After recently obtaining two undergraduate degrees, one in Spanish and one in International Studies: Latin America from Humboldt State University, I became an Operations and Administrative Assistant for Humboldt Area Foundation. I am passionate about my role within a dynamic nonprofit seeking to better our community. In my free time I dance for a local Samba band and try to maintain a home vegetable garden. My future goals are to further my education, travel to new places and put my language skills to use, and develop a more clear vision for my career.
How have you used the Community Tool Box to support your work and make a difference?
I sit on a task force equipped with the job of creating a more inclusive atmosphere for Humboldt Area Foundation internally as well as externally. I discovered the Community Tool Box in my research for building stronger partnerships and relationships with the communities and cultural groups we serve in our region.

I'm a partner in a philanthropy advising practice. We have a foundation client that is trying to build capacity in a team of Congolese leaders.
How have you used the Community Tool Box to support your work and make a difference?
The Congolese have some cultural issues as well as minimal training in financial management for their development projects. I was hoping to use the Tool Box in French as the DRC is a francophone country. I will instead translate what I need...but do lmk when it is available in French and I'll pass it along.
