I am a teacher in New York State, and I am hoping to create a children's museum in my community and in the doing create a children's task force.
How have you used the Community Tool Box to support your work and make a difference?
I am hoping to create a children's museum in my community and in the doing create a children's task force. There are a lot of agencies either working independently of each other, competing and often duplicating services. I am hoping that schools, PTOs, YMCA, 4H,the various civic organizations, Scouting and other child advocacy groups, arts groups, parents and government agencies like Head Start, Social Services etc. can create a powerful force to deal with child issues. I want our area to be known for its child advocacy. Your information has been invaluable, and even though this is all in its infancy stages, I feel much more prepared for the tasks ahead because of your mission. Thank you so much! Additionally, I am a teacher in the poorest school in New York State, and have been using some of the advice to rally people to make positive changes in our school and, quite frankly, though sometimes quite exhausting, it has also been very rewarding and always exciting. Thanks again for all that you have done.

To learn more about other innovative approaches out there. Make it more valuable by giving consolation prizes to entries that do not make it to the top ten. They could get mention in the newsletter and be advised on how to become winners! Very good work. Thank you.
