We are a community owned organisation, called Learning Links, that works to promote community change and economic regeneration by offering free learning opportunities for people with little or no education, at locations within the community. We promote the current UK political agenda of lifelong learning and offer support and guidance to members of the community, who in the past have considered that, participation in community matters and the attainment of well paid work as being for other people.

I am a registered nurse pursing a graduate degree in community and public health nursing. This web sight provides very useful community health information. The information is especially useful for those going out to act as leaders in community/public health.

I work with a community research project called the Teen Assessment Project (TAP) which is currently statewide and originated in Wisconsin. We survey youth in grades 7-12 about worries, concerns and perceptions about such things as substance use, time use, future aspirations, parental monitoring and numerous other topics that are determined by the community involved in the project. We then develop a research report based on the results of the survey and send out a parent newsletter series to all parents of youth surveyed as well as hold forums with both youth and families. If you want more information, let me know!
