your site was recommended as an information/intelligence source for organizing activities/issues around public health. I'm working on such a project in Washington, DC involving the reorganization of the public health clinics and hospitals, working to guarantee the involvement, participation and recommendations of low-income (i.e., medicaid and no insurance)communities in the process of making the provsision and delivery of public health services relevant to a broadest interpretyation of community health needs

I work for the Alaska Department of Health and Social Services, Division of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse. We provide grant funds to small communities, Native villages mostly, to design and implement their own projects to reduce self-destructive behavior and suicide.

I'm a volunteer for the REACH program in Northampton, MA. REACH is a Early Childhood Intervention Program, servicing children age 0 to 36 months. They are looking to build a community network among their clients. I'm searching for grant money to facilitate them hiring someone to act as a liason. I'm interested in your methods, as these may be valuable to them.

I'm employed at the UNC Center for Health Promotion and Disease Prevention (one of the CDC-sponsored Prevention Centers). I attended two of your sessions at APHA this week and am excited about using your model to provide training and technical assistance on worksite hpdp for small blue collar workplaces to local health departments in North Carolina. You all are doing great, innovative work!

Our region is currently working on development of community health centres using a community development model. We are working collaboratively with a number of community partners and this resource will be very useful. One of our community health promotion initiatives-a heart health project -is looking at tools for dissemination of the lessons learned on community mobilization. Again this will be helpful. Thanks
