Jessica Shaw, PhD, is a community psychologist with specializations in evaluation, and organizational change and development. She earned her PhD in Ecological-Community Psychology from Michigan State University in 2014, spent a year as a visiting fellow with the National Institute of Justice of the U.S. Department of Justice, and is currently an Assistant Professor at Boston College. Jessica’s research focuses on improving within and between system responses to sexual assault by relying on community partnerships to facilitate empirically-informed, sustainable change. In her work, Jessica partners with medical providers, criminal justice system agents, advocacy organizations, state agencies, and policymakers. Jessica’s work is guided by a firm commitment to social justice and action, and to designing practice- and policy-relevant research and evaluation that can lead to research-informed policy and practice.
