Our center employs a multi-method, collaborative approach to assessing community needs and resources. We are experienced in methods including conducting focus groups, key informant interviews, local public health system assessments, community concerns surveys, review of key community health status indicators, small area analysis, and PhotoVoice. Our center supports data analysis for converging themes and helps communities prioritize issues to create conditions for promoting health.
Wyandotte County community stakeholders discuss priority issues during a community health assessment planning meeting.
Our center draws on decades of experiences of experience with community coalitions and partnerships to help communities engage diverse stakeholders in the important work of planning for improvement. Upon completion of a community assessment, we can support community leaders and residents in prioritizing and planning for how to comprehensively address community issues to support their vision of a healthier community.
Our Center can help create specialized Action Planning Guides for your collaborative initiative. These guides support efforts to identify community and systems changes—the new or modified programs, policies, and practices—that could make a difference.
