9. Enhancing Cultural Competence

This toolkit aids in assessing and enhancing cultural competence in your organization or community effort.

The Long Island Center for Independent Living (LICIL) is a non-residential, consumer-run, community-based organization that provides services by and for people with all types of disabilities within Nassau County on Long Island, New York.

The ‘Qaderoon’ (Arabic for ‘we are capable’) intervention addressed improving the mental health of Palestinian youth in the Burj el Barajneh (BBC) Palestinian refugee camp in Beirut, Lebanon.

Inclusive Dubuque is a peer-learning network of partners committed to supporting an equitable and inclusive culture to meet the economic and cultural needs of their diverse community. The network works collaboratively to eliminate bias in their community.
