I am preparing to work with a community group assisting them in the implementation of a community safety program. Three years ago, I implemented two community safety programs. The Community Tool Box is being used to help me prepare for meetings and to become more effective in gathering information from the communities to bring about changes and help families to become self-sufficient.

I am faculty @ the University of Phoenix -Tampa Campus and the ARNP @ Genesis Health Center in the Newtown area of Sarasota. I am a retired Public Health Nurse from the Suffolk County Dept of Health services on Long Island, N.Y.

I am the statewide coordinator for a project working on primary prevention called DELTA. It is a collaborative agreement between the CDC and 14 state domestic violence coaltions. In Virginia we have 15 teams woking in their local communities to create and implement prevention plans.

I am constantly looking for tools the Virginia teams can use to further their plans. I am also looking for new ways of doing old work with a twist.

I am using it as a resource and guide to set up a small web-curriculum that I am creating for a webcourse AND to possible use refer to the site when I train teachers.

I just surfed in, looking for ways to be more productive and helpful to my community. I was just glad that I was directed to the CTB site.

I currently work for a housing consultanting firm. Some of our funding to assist families comes from grants.

In May of 2004 I participated in a leadership training program that asked us to develop a project utilizing our new skills. Either we design our own project or join an exisiting one. I choose to design my own project which is to develop a neighborhood organization for my community. At one time or another there was an organization, I feel confident it can be done again. It's something long overdue and it is evident that our community is not receiving the resources that is directed to our part of the city, of which includes Several smaller communities. but since we don't Voice our needs, I feel we don't get to take advantage of what resources instead, we get taken advantage of. I'd like to change that and give our community a voice once again.

today, I used the Community Tool Box for ideas to help design our Mission Statement. I find this site very helpful and will return. thank you for being available.

I have recently finished a draft copy of a land use plan and had a very low turn out at a public information meeting. I have a public meeting scheduled for March 8th and would like to increase participation by community members
