The Ann Arbor Mayor's Task Force on Increasing Safety for Women in Ann Arbor, MI. is a large community coalition effort dedicated to addressing violence against women in our community.We have accomplished a number of tasks, including putting a large red, public transit painted bus (only type of bill-board allowed in our community)on the road for two years, which carries the slogan, "There's No Excuse for Violence Against Women" and phone numbers of the three local service providers specializing in assistance to survivors of domestic and sexual violence.The bus is covered with excuses often given by those who perpetrate violence against women.

Strange is fortune that I would stumble upon these pages in the midst of organizing a group (and event) aimed toward celebrating women through art and advocacy. I have only been able to scrape the surface of the toolbox chapters, but for a group with an overabundance of creativity and enthusiasm and a decided lack of organizational experience, what I have read thus far may prove to be tremendously useful. I thank you for making this public information.

I have deveoloped a 32 unit independent senior living project in Kailua-Kona. Instead of borrowing money to complete the units, I thouhght a one time grant could be rolled over in perpetuity so that some of the lower income qualified clients could live there. I would rather plow back an equivalent in interest paymetns into the community rather than a lender.

Hello Jenette, Am I the first person from the Lyon to send you anything here? Can your organization help me buy a house? I would like 1 story walk-out ranch, 3 bedrooms would be nice, tho 2 will suffice, 1 1/2 baths and a little garden in the back. Maybe a sauna or a hot-tub right next to a pool (with a deep-end and a 3 meter diving board). It must have zoysia grass and many iris flowers all around the house. A wine cellar would be nice, but maybe that's a little over the top. Well anyway it's the day after the big 4th of July party at Tom's house (I wish you had been there) and I can't think of any really witty things to say, oh I just remembered, do you have any tatoos? Hope I see you at the Lyon tonight. ;}
