I am currently a Community Development (CD) practitioner working for Shell PDC, Nigeria. I was originally a geologist with the same organisation for more than a decade. I recently chose a career path change to community development for self actualisation. I am currently working on assignmernt to the International Foundation for Education and Selfhelp (IFESH) as a Program Officer. I am interested in exchanging ideas/ views e.t.c. CD with all interested parties. I will also like to receive information on available training programmes/ courses that may enhance my progress in CD. I have deveoloped a 32 unit independent senior living project in Kailua-Kona. Instead of borrowing money to complete the units, I thouhght a one time grant could be rolled over in perpetuity so that some of the lower income qualified clients could live there. I would rather plow back an equivalent in interest paymetns into the community rather than a lender.

I work for a carers' association in N. I am preparing an ACTION PLAN to set up the Cottonera Community Development Initiative in a socially depressed area where educational and social exclusion is high. As this is a new initiative, in the small island of Malta of 350,000 people in the Mediterranean [Europe], I need advice and support from people and organisations who have experience and committment towards capacity building and empowerment of socially disadvantaged groups and individuals. I went through your toolbox. It is extremely helpful and inspiring but key sections of it are not accessible e.g. Chapter 7: Developing an organisational structure, Chapter 8 and Chapter 9, and other Chapters. They are so focused and therefore can help me so much to be on the right track and yet are not available. Can you consider whether you can remedy this situation and help me with my endeavour? Thanks.
