    Through employment at Jefferson County Community Action Council I am facilitating the Community Coalition for Alternatives To Violence. In existence for 2 years, the CCATV has chosen its primary target - junior high school students. We have employed a staff person through funds from Ohio Department of Health Disadvantaged Youth grant - and established a group mentoring project for these youngsters. Within a few months - it has grown to over 60 students. We are now in process of establishing an after-school program for these youth, with funds from Ohio Children's Trust Fund. We are also organizing to conduct a comprehensive Community Needs and Resources Assessment, using manual from Family Resource Coalition of American.

    Aloha from Hawaii! I am a social worker working for a Hawaiian organization. Our target population is orphan and other destitute Hawaiian children.
