I'm steadily getting back on my feet after the hurricane damage to my home. Prior to my injuries I was working on my fitness degree to use it as I need it now - for the elders to learn they can still exercise. With today's youth in the shape they are, I'd eventually like to give it a shot to teach them.

How have you used the Community Tool Box to support your work and make a difference?:
We include materials from the CTB in the binders that we give to participants in our program evaluation workshops. They provide an easy to read, yet comprehensive introduction to many of the core concepts we address in the workshops. We also direct participants to the CTB website to use as a resource after they complete the workshops. We are grateful that such a resource exists and that it is available to the public free of charge.

It has already saved me the price of a return trip to Peru to continue to empower local community health and wholeness leaders of Chincha, the coastal desert community that is still recovering from the August 2007 earthquake. They have access to high speed internet so I was able to forward the link! It is awesome that the Spanish links are also present.

This is a fantastic resource, and very user-friendly. The framework for program evaluation is a nice succinct overview for non-evaluation researchers, but provides a great introduction to the process. I will use this to introduce an undergraduate class in social work practice with organizations and communities to basic program evaluation concepts. They're useful tools for assisting community-based teams and workgroups with assessment and planning - all very accessible. Thank you!

I am a human rights activist, a humanitarian, and a community developer. My biggest project now is the Woodlawn community. It was once a beautiful thriving community and now it has been ravaged by crime and neglect, in danger of gentrification. There is no strong leadership to pull everything together and get the necessary changes made. My goal is to build an organization that will do what the community leaders of that community have failed to do.
